When you graduate from college and select a place to work, you’re choosing more than just a place to commute to every day. You’re choosing a lifestyle. You’re picking the people who will become your friends. You’re creating a foundation for your professional life. You’re choosing the place you’ll tell stories about at your retirement party!

After 60 years in business, we’ve been to quite a few of those retirement parties. Many of our directors started working at the firm as new graduates and have grown with us to become leaders in the firm and the industry. So, we know that you’re not simply a new hire. You’re the future of the firm. In a few years, you’ll be the manager leading engagements. A few years after that, you’ll be bringing in new business as an associate. Before you know it, your class of recruits will be the directors leading the firm.

Our goal is to help you accomplish your goals – professional and personal. We couldn’t convince so many employees to stick with us for 25 and 30 years if we didn’t believe that their success is as important as ours. While we may not be the largest firm in the country, we are one of the largest in the region, and that gives us the ability to provide a balance of interesting and challenging work, competitive compensation, and a life outside the office.

Located across Louisiana, we attend several events at Louisiana colleges each year. If your school isn’t on the schedule below, send us an email at hr@pncpa.com to set up a meeting with our recruiting team or get more information about the firm.

Here’s what some of our experienced professionals have to say about why P&N is different.

Jeff Aucoin, Associate Director

At P&N, I am part of a team of professionals who are leaders in their Jeff Aucoin respective industries and the accounting profession, and we service some of the largest and most well-recognized companies of our respective communities. However, the firm is small enough to offer me opportunities to accept additional responsibilities on every engagement.

Dan Gardiner, Associate Director

I chose P&N because I wanted to define my own career. The opportunity is Dan Gardiner there; all I have to do is take it. P&N also offers an environment that is constantly evolving, which provides me with challenges, growth potential, and leadership opportunities. It’s the perfect atmosphere for a successful long-term career.

Bonnie Hunt, Director

P&N is the right size for me. I have worked for a Big 4 firm that was too Bonnie Hunt large for me to really make a difference, and for a small firm that didn’t provide enough opportunity for me to grow. P&N offers the extensive resources and growth potential of a large firm, with the personal touch and family feel of a small firm.

Raquel J. Morel, Associate Director

You are not just a number at P&N, they actually care. Raquel J. Morel The work/life balance provided allows me to reach my goals as both a mother and a career woman. The people at P&N are like a family and when you spend a good bit of your time at work, it is nice to feel like family.

We understand that the job selection process is different for experienced professionals than it is for recent college graduates. With experience comes knowledge about what is important to you in your career, and in your life. You have a better idea of where your career is going, what you want to do, and probably have more personal responsibilities.

At P&N, we work hard to provide an atmosphere where our staff can reach their goals, both professional and personal. We offer competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, paid time off, and flexible work options. We also strive to offer cutting-edge training and resources, access to our senior management, and an atmosphere that provides opportunity for career growth, custom-fit for each individual.

But it’s not all about what the firm does; it’s also about what our employees WANT to do. We are who we are because of our diverse people—people who are accountants and consultants, mothers and fathers, volunteers and artists, sports enthusiasts and video gamers. People who have chosen P&N because their individual needs are being recognized, considered, and encouraged.

Each summer, we hire a full staff of interns that work on real jobs and take on real responsibilities within the firm. We don’t ask them to make copies or coffee; instead we treat them like staff and give them roles on current projects so they leave P&N with knowledge about life on the job that they wouldn’t get in a classroom.

Our program is designed to provide future professionals with a broad level of experience in a variety of practice areas, including accounting and audit, tax, and consulting services. We provide in-house training on processes, software, and functional requirements to help them learn the ropes and get comfortable in the firm. And we also throw in some fun too, with events like our Annual State of the Practice meeting and our Intern Event, which occurs at the end of the intern program.
