Edgar S. Starns
Edgar S. Starns, CPA, PFS is a Director in the Postlethwaite & Netterville Tax Services Group. Ed joined the firm in 1979 and became a Director in 1983.
Ed is responsible for firm’s financial institution taxation practice. These responsibilities include developing tax strategies and reviewing all financial institutions tax returns prepared by the firm. Ed completes specialized tax continuing education in the financial institutions area. Additionally, he consults with individual and corporate clients in the areas of business valuations, income tax planning, employee benefit planning and administration, executive compensation, and financial planning.
He is also responsible for the Personal Financial Planning Group and Employee Benefits Group of the firm. He often consults with clients on issues of succession planning and personal financial planning including investment strategies, estate taxation, and retirement planning and projections.
In addition to his other responsibilities, Ed works extensively in the healthcare field to provide consulting services for business planning, mergers and acquisitions, financial modeling and projections, and development of integrated delivery systems.
