    • Alexander Postlethwaite opens the accounting practice that will become P&N.

  • 1950

    • Casey Lee joins Postlethwaite, creating Postlethwaite & Lea

  • 1967

    • The firm acquires a practice in Donaldsonville, La.

  • 1968

    • The firm name changes to Postlethwaite, Netterville, Evans and Major

  • 1977

    • Jake Netterville assumes the Managing Partner role from Postlethwaite

  • 1983

    • The firm shortens its name to Postlethwaite & Netterville

  • 1985

    • The St. Francisville office opens

  • 1986

    • The Baton Rouge office moves into its current location

  • 1990

    • P&N receives the Baton Rouge Business Report’s Company of the Year award

  • 1992

    • Jake Netterville serves as Chair of the AICPA, the premier organization for accounting professionals

  • 1996

    • A second accounting practice is acquired in the greater New Orleans area.

  • 1998

    • Bill Potter assumes the Managing Director position.

  • 1999

    • P&N joins the Leading Edge Alliance

  • 2000

    • The firm acquires a practice in Gonzales

  • 2001

    • P&N acquires a network integration company and forms P&N Tech

    • Bill Balhoff testifies before the U.S. Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee on Thursday, March 14, 2002. He represented the AICPA PCPS membership on the “trickle down” effect of the pending Enron-related legislation on over 8,000 small to medium sized accounting firms. (photo from the testimony)

  • 2003

    • P&N adds a Northshore location
    • The firm receives the Greater Baton Rouge Better Business Bureau’s Torch Award for Ethics in Business.
    • The firm receives the Leading Edge Alliance’s 2003 Innovative Firm of the year award based on its work with the Stelly Plan online calculator.

  • 2005

    • Hurricane Katrina strikes the Louisiana Gulf Coast on August 29. The P&N Metairie Office temporarily relocates to Baton Rouge. The office reopens on October 3, 2005.

  • 2008

    • P&N acquires Legier and Materne in New Orleans
    • Bill Balhoff is named Managing Director and CEO

  • 2009

    • P&N acquires a practice in Lafayette.
    • P&N celebrates its 60th anniversary
