William Balhoff
William E. “Bill” Balhoff, CPA, CFE, CFF is the Managing Director and CEO for Postlethwaite & Netterville. He joined P&N in 1976 and became a director in 1986. He has been named among the “Top 100 Most Influential People” in the accounting profession by Accounting Today and CPA Magazine and has recently served as a Board Member of the AICPA, which has a national membership of over 340,000 CPAs.
With over 30 years experience, he has brought experience in technical audit, accounting, and consulting activities related to financial institutions for the firm. Because of the firm’s diverse client base, Bill has experience in a broad range of industries. He has overall responsibility in the firm for technical audit and accounting matters. His primary industry groups are financial institutions, SEC firms, retailers, and insurance companies.
Bill is a Past Chair of the AICPA's PCPS Executive Committee and a past member of the Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Council (FASAC). During the Spring of 2002, Bill testified before the U.S. Senate Banking Subcommittee chaired by Senator Sarbanes regarding Enron matters and impact on non-Big Four firms.
Bill has been a national speaker on numerous topics including “How to Perform and Report on Peer Reviews,” professional standards updates, and managing practices.
